Community Life Groups

Community Life Groups are groups of church members that meet weekly for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The groups are an integral part of Grace Church, allowing us opportunity to learn more about God’s Word together and to develop deeper godly friendships. We currently have three Community Life Groups meeting - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. If you’re interested in getting involved, please get in touch - we’d be happy to direct you to a friendly face from any of the groups!

Monday group

“Monday night small group meets at 19:00 each week, most weeks we do a study which is normally on a book of the Bible rather than a topic. On the other weeks we do prayer and communion or we have socials (which are always based around food).

We are very relaxed and welcoming to everyone. We meet at each others’ homes in the north end of Loughborough. Whilst we meet, we try to help each other find our giftings and use them through leading the studies, prayer sessions and building relationships with the children.” - Dan

Wednesday Group

“We meet on Zoom at 7:30pm. as it is not easy for some of us to meet up in person. We cover a wide age range, so we can use our giftings to help each other.

We use the Scripture Union study books, chosen by the group, as we study the Bible. We also have times of bring-and-share scripture or music. Here we share how passages of scripture or songs have helped or challenged us.

We celebrate Lord’s supper and pray for each other also remembering the missions and friends we support as a church.

We are open to other ways of sharing such as someone introduced us to the Bible project. Occasionally we have met up in person over the weekend in better weather.” - Steve

Thursday Group

“Thursday 1 Community Life Group currently has approximately nine members consisting of a mix of married couples, young working professionals and university students.

We meet every Thursday evening at one of the group’s houses and our time together usually runs from 7-9pm. Our format, for some time now, has been the following:

  • Meet/catch up over some lovely pudding.

  • Bible study (usually either on a book of the Bible or a topic).

  • A time of prayer where we pray for each other from comments on a weekly prayer/praise request post in our Facebook group.

Often, in between studies, we will put on different social events, such as bowling, a meal out, attending the Loughborough Fair together and more.” - Brian
