At Grace Church Loughborough, we love to encourage people to explore their giftings!
The following are some of the main ministries we have in the church. If you’d like to try anything out, speak to one of the deacons, or anybody at church on Sunday, and they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.
If you have ideas or suggestions for other ministries we could get involved with, let us know!
Young Adults Hospitality
The Young Adults meet together regularly for food and fellowship after the Sunday service. You could get involved by hosting one of our lunches in your own home or by helping prepare food at someone else’s home. We also run an event called Rooted each year where our Young Adults spend the day together studying the bible, praying and playing games. We like to get people involved in running different parts of the day which could involve organising an activity or leading a study session.
Music
We have a group of musicians that lead the congregation in sung worship as a band. You could be involved by joining the rota on our music team and playing an instrument or singing at the front during our Sunday services.
Tech & Setup
Our Sunday service is brought together by the Tech & Setup team who facilitate many aspects of our morning meetings. This team sets up the seating, instruments, microphones and any other tech before the main service, making sure everything is running in the background.
Welcome
The Welcome team ensure that everyone arriving at Grace is met with a warm greeting and knows where to go. You’ll find them outside the building and at the doors before a church service or an event, and they’re always up for a nice chat!
Refreshments
Before each service, the refreshments team set up the hot and cold drinks station. They also have the important job of choosing which biscuits or snacks are available for everyone to enjoy. After the service, the refreshments team will also pack down the drinks station and distribute any remaining biscuits!
Service Hosting
Each week, the host/chair of the service guides the congregation through each part of the day, introducing the different sections and arranging with speakers and musicians as to the order of the service. As host, you would also co-ordinate Bible readings, communion, times of prayer and weekly notices - a great opportunity to get other people involved in those sections or have a go at them yourself.
Preaching
Leading the church in study of God’s Word, preaching is one of the main parts of our Sunday service. If it’s something you’d like to try out, whether you have had previous experience or are new to it, please reach out to one of our elders or deacons.
